25) Forming crew returns to install formwork when inside banding is part of a custom design
26) CONCRETE PLACING stage begins. Concrete is brought to rear yard and walkways using wheel barrel. Concrete is raked and reinforcing steel cage is raised
27) One man 4' aluminum straight edge is used to screed concrete flat from form to form
28) Two-man 14' aluminum straight edge is used
29) Concrete is placed and screeded on existing porch. Stair case is poured with caution to prevent moving of formwork
30) Steps are vibrated to consolidate concrete and hand floated
31) Concrete is placed directly onto the driveway from ready-mix truck. Concrete is screeded using a two-man 17' aluminum straight edge
32) One man 8' aluminum straight edge is used
33) A roller is used to consolidate aggregate and bring more paste to the concrete surface. Bull float is used to fine tune leveling of concrete surface by cutting high spots and filling low-lying areas. All concrete edges are hand floated
34) Rolling and bull floating of the driveway
35) Colour hardener is applied to the concrete surface by dry shake method
36) Colour hardener is applied to rear patio
37) Colour hardener is applied to the circular driveway
38) Colour hardener is applied to side driveway
39) Once colour hardener has absorbed surface bleed water, concrete is hand floated and trowelled to a smooth finish
40) The driveway is hand floated and trowelled. Edging tool is used along perimeter formwork to create borders
41) Coloured release agent is lightly spread on the concrete surface prior to the stamping process. This product will not allow the wet concrete to stick to the plastic molds
42) The Yorkstone pattern is used in this project on the rear patio and all walkways. The plastic molds are used within the body of the slab. All edging is lightly textured with hand mats and chiseled to complete the pattern
43) All Patterned Concrete molds are made of rigid plastic to support and evenly distribute body weight
44) All steps are lightly textured with hand mats and chiseled to replicate large stone slabs
45) The circular driveway is stamped using the large rock texture molds. This pattern is seamless and gives the entire surface a continuous texture
46) Driveway borders are lightly textured using hand mats and chiseled to complete the pattern
47) The side driveway is stamped using the Old English brick herringbone pattern. A large hand tamper may be used to help with imprinting of the pattern
48) FORMWORK REMOVAL/CONTROL JOINTS stage begins. All formwork is removed and taken away
