2) Measurements are taken from approved CAD Design and transferred onto site
3) Marking paint is used to layout all perimeter lines of concrete work
4) Exact elevations are taken and staked using laser level instrument
5) Possible demolition of existing concrete, wood decks etc. takes place before excavation begins
6) Mini excavator is used for all excavation in rear yard, walkways and perimeter edging of driveway
7) Excavation is clean, lawn is protected with plywood as necessary during excavation
8) Armourstone is installed as per CAD Design
9) All excavated material left behind on driveway (or roadway if driveway is not under contract) is removed by skid-steer machine and hauled away using dump truck
10) Existing asphalt is removed using skid-steer machine and also hauled away using dump truck. Driveway excavation takes place if necessary
11) FORMING stage begins. Formwork is constructed as per CAD Design
12) Rebar dowels are installed at all steps/staircases to prevent settlement
13) Special care is taken in bracing step formwork to prevent buckling during concrete placement
14) Elevation points are transferred using hand levels
15) Elevations are taken a second time at the forming stage to confirm initial elevations taken at the layout/excavation stage
16) Straight and curved formwork is structurally sound to prevent movement during concrete placement
17) GRADING/REINFORCING STEEL stage begins. Granular material is delivered to site with dump truck and brought in from roadway using skid-steer machines
18) Granular material is brought to rear yard and walkways using wheel barrel
19) Granular material is finely graded by rake and packed in two lifts using small plate compactor.
20) ABS sleeves are installed for future use
21) Driveway grading is performed using skid-steer machine
22) A large plate compactor is used on driveway and compacted in two lifts
23) Reinforcing steel rods are spaced out in a two way cage formation
24) Rods are tied at junctions to prevent movement of cage during concrete placement
